Vintage bathrooms can be really cute or really ugly. You know what I mean?
Take this bathroom for example. A couple quick fixes at a very modest budget makes it adorable again.
The steps we took:
- replaced the mirror with a blacked framed one
- replaced the sconces with a pair a little more modern
- replaced the faucet with a set a little more modern
- painted the vanity black to match the mirror
- selected a shower curtain that ties the colors together.
This is a beautiful breakfast room. You can see by the “before” photo that adding a table and chairs would help (ha ha) but what really makes this room cool is having a focal point.
The back wall is the first thing you notice as you walk into the room. Adding a buffet with plenty of storage is great. But drawing your eyes up to see the great ceiling height and a surprise skylight makes the room much more interesting.
If you need help finding your focal point and making your house more interesting, I’ll be glad to help. Give me a call today (716) 912-1581
Do you want to freshen the look of a room? Do you want to feel peaceful? The easiest and most cost effective way is to decluttered the room…and I mean really remove clutter. Take this kitchen for example.
Removing items from the top of the cabinets, on the counters and refrigerator made all the difference.
Take a look at your kitchen. Could it use a little less “stuff”?
The key to a starting a decorating plan is bring it all the way back to bare and start over. A clean slate helps to clear the mind and your creativity can come roaring back!
This living room is a great example of “how we live” and “how we stage” are different. The Before Photo looks like a normal house with young children. The After Photo is how it went on the market. They got it sold in one week!
The best part is now they can go back to living their normal lives. It is a huge help that the difficult task of keeping a young family’s home show ready only lasted a week. They could not have been happier!
